Can't get old APR R1 DVs out - Bottom tube stuck

    Hey guys,

So I was told I had leaky Diverter valves, which are 5 year old APR R1s. I just attempted to get them out, and no matte how hard I pulled or tried to pry, the lower tubes on both would not come out. It was almost as if it had overheated and now they are melted together. Any suggestions?

Do you think soaking the rubber hose in wd40 or other anti seize would help separate the dv from the hose?

APR should rebuild them for free if you're okay with a little downtime. I think they have a lifetime warranty. I have them and APR rebuilt mine a few years back free of charge, except shipping, iirc

Use a pick or small screwdriver to lightly separate a portion of the end of the hose from the valve and get a bit of wd-40/kroil/bolt breaker of your choice in the gap then gently work the pick around to let the oil do it's thing. Those hoses can get very stuck to the DV's, even stock DVs.
