Hi been searching the forum for a reference to go on, trying to check both EGT sensor and and wiring. Scan my car with my VCDS and got these codes 17861, 17870, have bentley manual but its on my old windows XP machine that is down at the moment. So if anyone could give me the resistance value and voltage and wiring diagram for EGT sensors it would be much appreciated thanks in advance.

Its a funky thing that spits out morse code so prob going to be tough to test.
Look at what they are reading in vcds, should hang out at ~945c.
I think people have had luck in the past popping them open and fixing one of the wires from the t-couple.
Guy named complatensy on qw makes some delete gizmos that work very well and are much cheaper than new egts.
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.

if youre running VCDS, just use search functionality of the "Advanced measuring Blocks" section. Then type "exhaust" and it will filter out for you. IIRC EGT's are on a couple other sub-blocks too.
