    2006 Audi S4 - Thoughts?

I got a buddy interested in buying this car:

    https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...ting=143606388

I have a 2004 so I told him some of the things to look out for (timing chain rattle, glovebox hinges, cupholder etc) that I've had issues with, but is there anything else on the B7 that a lot of people have had issues with?

I'm also not sure the rims are correct, here is an 06 S4 with the rims I think are correct:

The one he's interested in has 150k miles and an automatic but he's sourced a drive-train from a B7 with just 56K miles and a good ole fashion stick shift, so he's thinking on driving the car and if/when the timing chain gives way he'll swap the other one in.

    Thoughts?

I bought mine from them also and had it shipped, make sure you do a physical inspection. they photoshopped some scratches and a ripped seat plus glossed up the horrid cracked and peeled vinyl bumper shield to look like new, had a slashed spare tire and a bad MAF. My mistake of not going out there to physically see it, but was bogged down with business, never do that again, so beware of those people. Good luck. They are horrid at returning phone calls as well.

We're both in the DFW area so the dealer the car is being sold at is pretty close by. We'll definitely be inspecting the car before he buys it.

Haha yeah man you always have to do a pre purchase inspection before buying a car if you can't go see it. I almost bought a Mazda Speed6 in another state because it was a really good deal but a $100 PPI revealed it had bent rims and a dying differential lol.

yeah, i was dumb and went off the carfax... didn't make that mistake when I got the Allroad though. it passed inspection with flying colors, even had a new timing belt and all new pulleys.

I don't think either of those cars have stock wheels on them. The first one looks like it has OEM Audi wheels, but they look to me like they're 17's off of an A4

I think you're right about the A4 wheels but I'm pretty sure the 2nd link I posted is a car with stock wheels. Here are more examples:
