S6 C7 4000 RPM Limiter

I have had this issue 3 times now and the techs cannot figure out what the hell is going on. Anyone else have this issue?

I would have him check fuel or oil pressures at the time if he had not yet.

The last two times it has been the cam actuator or sensor. Hopefully third time is the charm but my patience is running thin after having an oil leak, gas pressure issue, and now this. Seems like every other week I am back at the service department.

How many miles are on it ? Was it 2 different actuators replaced or the same one again ? They should be able to see a failing actuator when it want back in last.

Right now it is 43200 miles on it. The first time it happened was July 28th of this year so I would say I probably put anywhere from 1-2k miles on it between then. They supposedly replaced the acuator the in July but I am suspect of that. I'm sitting at the dealer now waiting to see what the next step is, probably a week or two in the shop to replace the cam shaft that is having the issue. Personally I think I have a major electronics fault. I can hear my AWE exhaust from the waiting room up top. I guess that is the only positive I got out of this so far
