FL - Fort Lauderdale and neighboring areas - wash/detail + leather questions

    Folks,

I recently relocated to Ft. Lauderdale downtown, and I no longer have my roomy home garage, my products, or even the option of a hose. With that said, does anyone recommend any specific places for washing/maintaining my car's finish? I am very meticulous (3-bucket system, great products), so I'm not after any automatic carwash options or people who use products that may be corrosive/damaging in the long term.

Another option is if another forum member, as meticulous as I am, has a garage/home nearby, I would be willing to pay the person the price of a wash to let me come over and do it myself.

Lastly, I have a little bit of wear on the driver seat bolster, as expected, but it's just the surface finish. No cracks/damage. Does anyone recommend any leather guys to refinish the bolster?

    Thanks!

Not sure about the detailers, this guy did a q5 and some others cars around never heard anything but praise. He's in pompano.

Welcome to Ft. Lauderdale. Have you considered places where you can wash your own car? There's one near 5 points in Wilton Manors. 2763 N. Dixie Hwy.

Thank you! I have, however, those places usually don't have a 3-bucket system like I'm used to having (unless they have evolved from when I used to live in south Florida 13 years ago). How does it work and how do I ensure I don't scratch the surface of my car with components/dirt left over from the previous car?

    Thanks.

No. It's a space with wand power sprays that you would do yourself. You'd bring your own buckets and sponges (if you're going to do the 3 bucket system). I used to bring my car there to wash by myself when I lived in a high rise condo that didn't have a space for me to wash my own car.

Cool...that's exactly my situation - staying in a condo in the middle of Las Olas. I'll go check it out, still need to have my buckets/products shipped from Jax to me here lol

Not to thread-jack, but I recently moved down to Boca from Orange Park. I'm going back and forth almost every weekend. I don't know if you still make trips up but PM if you're interested in car pooling once in a while.

Cool! I actually try to keep the miles off my car, but if you're driving yours I'd be happy to carpool with you. Let me know when you're going next. I am actually planning to fly out there the weekend of the 23th-25th of this month, but after that I do not have any other flights in scope. Feel free to PM me. Thanks!
