I never planned on selling this car, but the one car I always wanted (the titanium version of this exact car seen in last image) became available, so I bought it. Currently, I have two nearly identical cars. As much as I like having many toys to play with, I need to part with this one despite it being a great car.

I purchased this car a year and a half ago from a very particular owner out of state. I had it inspected remotely and the mechanic told me it was so clean that if I didn't buy it, he would, so I did and had it shipped to me. The previous owner said it had never been eaten in, and when it showed up, I believed him. He commuted 100 miles a day in the car, so the bulk of the miles had been racked up at highway speed. I have folders of the maintenance records from the previous owner. This car was always well taken care of.

Mechanical Condition: 9.75 out of 10
This car runs excellent. I just had the guys at Salta Service and Performance go through it. They put some rear brake pads on it because a squeak from the rear was annoying me despite the fact they had plenty pad left. After that, mechanically the only issue is that the cruise control stopped working a while back. I drive so little, I didn't bother to fix it. This car has taken very little maintenance compared to my other Audi's. (Salta has worked on my Audi's for the last decade, they know how meticulous I am about my cars and they know this car specifically, they can speak to it if you have questions about its mechanical condition.)

Interior: 9.5 out of 10
When people see the car, they all say the same thing, "no way does this car have that many miles on it." It looks great. The interior of the car would be a 10 to of 10, but the handle on the center armrest cover is broken - it doesn't lock anymore. Other then that, the interior is perfectly sharp. The leather is in excellent shape, there are no cuts or tears. There are no stains in the carpet. It is super clean.

I don't smoke - The car has never been smoked in. . .it still has the leather Audi smell.
I don't have pets
I don't eat in the car

Exterior 8/10
For a car of this vintage, over all it looks great. It has the expected chips and nicks, and the black paint has held up well. The only bad news on the exterior is that there are a couple significant scratches that warrant a real repair. I left the car in the economy lot at DIA when I flew home for mother's day. When I returned it had been hit on both the front right corner above the wheel, and the rear left corner where the bumper meets the body. Both hits are shown in the pictures. I planned to fix them both, but when I purchased the second avant, I abandoned the idea. . .so I have marked down the price of the car to accommodate fixing them. (Most people told me not to bother. . .I will leave that up to the next owner.

OP can list the car for whatever he wants. And the market will dictate the outcome. Personally I'd like to see the market strengthen (perhaps unlikely for non-S or USP Avants), so I hope OP gets more than book value. High mileage plus body work needed is not a great starting point for getting top dollar, but the rest of the package looks pretty good.

Hey guys, a bit more info on how I arrived at the price of the vehicle:

The comp that I used to set the price was the sale of a nearly identical car that sold in my zip code two months ago. It was an '06 black/black s-line 6 spd avant with similar miles and a couple light mods. It was listed on Boulder CL for $13,500, and it sold for...$12,500. I have been in communication with the buyer (he emailed me in response to my CL ad) and he confirmed that.

Regardless of what NADA, KBB, etc, says the car should be priced at, what the market will bear is a much better guide IMHO, especially for a rare car.

The people who I know, who know these cars, all say it’s one of the cleanest they have ever seen and are amazed how it drives even in it’s bone stock form (which some people actually prefer.)

If the new buyer chooses to fix the scratches, they will have one of the nicest Avants of this vintage out there. And if they want to mod it out, they have a clean platform to start from.
