Might want to amend your post... I'm quoting giac. "GIAC maintains the only true on-the-fly switchable, flex fuel performance software for the B5 S4."

Yea, that is a good question. How are they switching??? Because if you have to hook it up to your laptop, that is not switchable.

Can you post some results for the other options that aren't FATS or dyno charts? Seems like GIAC is the only one who has posted anything E85 related that had positive results. Their mid range power file trapped 126mph in a FULL weight avant and the file still holds the 60-130 record on a vbox (aka not bullshit logging crap) with a time that rivals a tweaked to fuck tial 605 car on blow your turbos boost and leaded race fuel + meth. I've searched myself out of curiosity and seen lots of "time to build my motor" threads. That might just be an audizine thing though.

    Go and ask them yourself.

I don't have data laying around. I am not Jeff.

I merely stated that his ad was wrong. There are other people/companies/tuners that offer switchable tunes 93/e85 on the fly. That is all.

He's talking about the "other" tunes (Daz, Mirza, etc). GIAC (like you said) uses the controller to switch.

I'm still curious about the flex code tuning. Without an inline ethanol content sensor Im not sure how a tune could seamlessly switch around fueling.

it does use an inline ethanol content sensor.

Didn't mean to misrepresent the switchable claim... Updated.

That's all GIAC marketing bullshit, Philadot is the only one I know of to actually tune ME7 for flex fuel, which to be clear is vastly different than the ability to switch between different maps. That said, APR's map switching was far superior to GIAC's in that no additional hardware was necessary to change from 1 tune to another (use CC button), where in contrast, last I saw, a $150 handheld was required to switch between tunes with GIAC software. Additionally, 55lbs isn't really enough injector for E85 even on K04's.....

Flash loader not required but yes, for practicality it is. And what do you know about the injectors lol? They are actually 65 at 4 bar so yea, enough for e85 my friend. As long as they flow 25% more than a gasoline tune.

Yes philadots shit is cool and APR has nice switching. Apr doesn't have an e85 tune for the platform. I believe GIAC can make those claims legitimately by using the keywords "on the market". Quite frankly, they are the only ones on the market.
