How would the sunroof drain come out of the floor vent? Doesn't the line go from the pilers down the side and out the wheel well? I put a zip lock bag around the floor vent and it's 100% coming directly out of the floor vent. How would it be leaking directly into the floor vent do the two go side by side at some point?

Also, where is the water piling up at? It's been a week since it rained here and the water is still coming out when I drive. Does anyone have a layout diagram of the floor vent relative to the sunroof drains? This makes no sense.

Check your front cowl vent drain if you do not think its coming from clogged sunroof drain. If its clean water has to be those two locations.

Best I know of off the top of my head. If you look closely, you can get a relative idea of where the hose runs.

As @ducati stated, it can really only come from the sunroof drain or the cowl vent near your rain tray.

I just don't understand how it's getting into an AC vent... lol. I'd understand if it was leaking down the side piler or from the top of the ceiling, but draining right out of the vent is so bizarre and only the one... Any instructions on checking the front cowl vent drain?

If the weather has been dry and you haven't been washing the car, the only other potential source of clean water I can think of would be condensate from the AC evaporator. There are drain tubes that run from the bottom of the evaporator housing and exit somewhere under the console. I'm not sure if there is one or two tubes and can't tell you where they exit. If the drain is plugged, it's possible the condensate is finding it's way into the vent pipes and running to the rear. If you live in a humid area and have been running the AC for lengthy periods, it will produce quite a bit of water.
I've been searching for the location of the drain so that I can run a cleaning solution tube up to the evaporator, but can't find anything for the B8.

Use the navigation links in the left hand toolbar for the expanded menu tree; your next click to go through the tech bulletin should be on "Page 9237".

According to this online manual, the drain tubes are "left and right on the air conditioner or the central tunnel"

EDIT: I just noticed this says the "right REAR floor vent". I'll dig.

Here's some info on the drain tubes. It does sound like this is your issue.

I just recalled -- I had this done 2 years ago! What are the odds the drain got damaged again? Perhaps they never did the work? What are my rights since I had this issue occur under warranty and now it's happening again?

It all depends on who completed the work, and if there were any revisions, recalls, or TSBs for this issue. Generally speaking, a dealer warranty is 12 months/12,000 miles. With that said, I am a firm believer that it never hurts to ask, because the worst that could be said is no. Would you entertain doing it yourself?
