    Hi,
This is happening fairly regularly, every few weeks. The garage replaces a fuse I believe each time. A grinding door motor was replaced which was thought to be the cause but no joy. Car is an A6 C5 Avant 1.9TDI PD130 AWX.
Any suggestions what it could be?
    Thanks.

On mine it was doing some weird hazard flashing when you sometimes put on the indicator and it turned out to be the Hazard light switch. I wonder if this could be the same with different symptoms... Not so sure about the doors showing open though...

Sorry couldn't be more help, but the hazard switch is not that expensive if you want to give it a try.

    Cheers

    Hi guys,
    I have an update.
Garage checked the convenience unit, under foot well apparently? This was ok and no corrosion. After this they thought the motor in the passenger door was shorting and causing the issue, so this was replaced, and didn't solve it. Then a 5amp fuse was replaced in the fuse box as it should have been 10amp, still no joy!
    Any ideas on this one?
It seems to happen when locking/unlocking with the keyfob.
I have attached a pic of the fuses in case this helps. I think the fuse replaced was 3rd row down 3rd across but I'm not 100%.

Does anyone have a diagram of all the fuse locations and numbers?

It's fuse 14 by the way, 3 across, 3 down from the top left.
