    RS7 carbon hood opinion

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Quick question for you guys, I design carbon parts and developed a hood for the rs7 and would love feedback from you guys. Let me know what you think

So overall what's your opinion? My aim was to retain oem-ish look but gain cooling functionality as the engines need more breathing room.... Didn't wanna do something rice because IMHO the a7 is the nicest audi made to date ..... Although the rs6 avant and current gen a6 is saxay AF lol

I applaud the work and effort, but don't think the hood matches the lines of the car. Should the vents be in the middle since most of the heat producing components are inside the V?

Carbon hood, much more subtle look. Way too aggressive. Doesn't fit the cars look

Decided to make those upper vents reversed to pull in air towards the manifolds so air induction and the bottom recessed vents around the radiator for heat reduction. Placing the upper vents in the middle wouldn't do much since the engine cover is located in that area, making some thing aerodynamic, functional and aesthetically pleasing is hard AF lol.

Impressive piece of work.. I just don't think vents on the hood work with that car. Maybe if they were totally flush with the hood surface, smaller and didn't interupt the look as much.

I think the vents are a little much, but very impressive work indeed.

Do you have any front lips coming for a C7.5 S6?

Beautiful work and hood, just doesn't fit an Audi. Looks perfect for Dodge Hellcat. Audi needs subtle like the M3/M4 "bump" hood.

Thanks guys for the opinions, I also like the m series hood, but that would be purely aesthetically if I made the bump since the engine block isn't as high as the m it would have been unnecessary. Just out of curiosity if hypothetically you guys could make a hood, what design/style would you go for?

And haha, I would love to make a lip but unless I make a flat surface one... Need to think up a style which gets complicated without the car here :(
