    Stock horsepower?

    What is the stock horsepower on our s4's and can someone explain the difference between real and estimated horsepower and why it is?

    1 horse = 1 horsepower. The B5S4 is powered by an engine, and not horse drawn as was the case in previous modes of transport. Therefore, as it has no horse, it has zero horse power, actual or estimated.

    265 HP and 400NM of torque. Proberly depending on type of fuel as well. But those are the european specs for an S4.

    There's loss in drivetrain as well, so the true 265HP will never be made to the wheels. Proberly minus 20% is what actually takes down on the wheels.

    The RS4 B5 on the other hand does 380HP with 440NM. Add a good and proper remap and your looking at 420 up to 440HP with almost 600NM of torque.

    I used to have an a4 that was 220whp and it was faster than the stock s4 which like 190whp. I'm a newb. What are the chipped s4 whp numbers?
