I know this has been covered in great detail but i am finding out there might be a way to pull this off and i would love to contribute to a solution. I need a little help though. I have the Audi concert AMI in a B8 2009 and replaced the audi concert with the Alpine Style unit X701D, great unit for replacing the concert since the screen is an immense upgrade. Where i am having trouble is the concert unit is still governed by an adaptation threshold which once the car drives over 4mph the video on the alpine unit shuts off saying for safety of course. I read that if i can get the component id from the audi concert unit which will allow me an access code, i will be able to change the VIM threshold in the adaptation. I know it is set through the can bus and i am sure there is no other way than too get this threshold higher other than through an adaptation. All i need help is how to get the component id or the proper access code for the audi concert radio. Can you please give me some insight and then I will have a 2nd hand solution to VIM for the audi concert system.
