Check out his guy in the UK.

    http://www.audiupdates.com/#!product...f-0cf79ec397b9

Or email him at [email protected]

I got his info from a thread on Audiworld and I got the latest maps from him. He can also source the MMI update that is required as well, but I was already on the latest version.

I guess this only works on the facelift cars.

When I first setup my Audi Connect, it asked me, if I wanted to update the Navigation maps, so I clicked yes and it updated with about 845mB data.

    https://www.audi-mediacenter.com/en/...gation-map-458

"Audi keeps its customers on the right road with the new connect service “Online map update”. If the car is equipped with Audi connect, Audi A6 and Audi A7 Sportback drivers can now download navigation updates directly to the car via the super-high-speed LTE connection. This requires the use of MMI navigation plus. Customers can continue to use a computer to download the data from the myAudi platform (www.audi.de/myaudi) and transfer the map data to the car on an SD card. Installation at an Audi dealership is a third option.

The driver receives a notification via MMI navigation plus when a new map update is available. Updates are provided every six months, and the first five are free of charge. The customer can choose whether to update the complete European map or just individual regions. Navigation continues to function without restriction during the entire online update process. "

Subscribed. Let us know if this is legit. Every time I have asked an SA about updating maps I get a shrug and they say it will cost "like $800" or "maybe a thousand bucks." I get the impression they just don't really want to do it.

I got a tracking number the day after sending payment with PayPal, and it took US Mail longer to deliver from Chicago to Burbs than it did to get from the UK to Chicago (probably because it was an international shipment). I received two SD cards, one with the map database and the other with the license activation. You need to be on the latest version of the MMI, 814 I believe. He can source that as well if needed, but since I was already on it I just got the maps and license. The database update took almost two hours and they recommend either having the car running or put a battery charger on the car. He provided clear and detailed instructions and I had no issues. There is a warning about waiting at least a minute once the license activation is done before clicking OK or rebooting, but I followed their instructions and had no issues. I did notice that the loader screen was customized so I don't believe the SDs are genuine OEM, but they worked and I have working updated maps. They may even offer an option to download the files and create your own SD updates. I know there are a couple of guys on Audiworld forums that have used hm too.
Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

I'm in on this thread. I have a 2015 and I know the nav data is outdated. Audi must use different methods to store the data. I saw a video on YouTube for a Q5 when all they had to do was change out the CD. I will have to see if my S4 even has a CD drive for nav or if info is stored on the built hard drive where I keep my music.

I used this guy twice. For my mmi and 2016 maps.
He has gave me a voucher code to pass on 25% off.
    "Update Me" is voucher code.
I have got nothing to do with the site.
I have still got the Sd cards with K0900 mmi update and the 2016 maps but you would need to get a licence code from him if you wanted to buy these from me.

www.audiupdates.com Doing this fixed this issue also.

This guy at VagNav...... We emailed back and forth a few times as he answered my questions, I then sent him payment on friday (which he requested I make under PayPal 'friends and family' which was my mistake here) and I have heard nothing. He has not returned email since I sent payment.

Edit: I got the guy on the phone this morning... he says it will go out today. We shall see. I am very untrusting in situations like this.

Edit 2: finally got a tracking number from him 5 days later. He must have been busy with other stuff.

I sent payment last week (forgot what day) at night US time. When I woke up the next morning (day their time), I got email notification. He shipped it immediately the next day. When I have sent him emails during the day time in UK, I got email response probably within an hour.

Maybe he just marked your email as read on accident and forgot about it. I would just re-email him.

    Fly-
I just DL'd the firmware from a link he sent me to the files on his cloud for the MMI update. It completed and everything looks normal,,, it took about 45 mins to go from 0487 to 0814, so that was a big update for one shot. *****One thing about the MMI update: IF YOU HAVE BOSE SOUND- you need a VAGCOM to activate green menu so that you can get in there under 'swdl' and activate the 'user defined' mode so that it will show up in the engineering menu as selectable (default is greyed out). When you do the update it is imperative to select the 'user defined' rather than 'standard', then scroll down and select the Bose module and unselect anything that has a 'Y" next to it so that the Bose will not update. Reason being that there is a major problem getting the Bose system working correctly after an update and it cannot be done by VCDS recoding.**** He also sent me a link to DL the maps which im doing now but it is going very sloooow. Not sure how that works since there is a license involved though. He is probably off the grid for the rest of the day as he hasn't responded to my emails in the last hour.

Woooot I just updated my maps to 2016. Some info:

It takes a while. It took 2.5 hours to finish. They don't lie when they say it takes a while. I'm a big computer nerd, but it's still un-nerving to do this b/c if it messes up, you can't just readily swap out parts and have to go to the dealer. The instructions are pretty good, but the images differ slightly than what my car showed. You can figure it out, but I will say the steps to delete the old data and partition show a screen that says reboot. Well mine never showed that and at some point, I'm like F this, this is just deleting partitions so if it messes up, I can just do this over and just reset the unit like it says.

The maps loading takes the longest, like 2+ hours. I just stepped out every once in a while to check it to see where it was at.

The maps activation is easy, but read the directions and make sure you leave the activation card in longer after the screen says complete. I had multiple people tell me this so I guess if you don't, it can brick your unit. I checked everything after and it all looks good. I'll report if I have any issues, but this is a good way to save $$ and not go to dealer.

I tried the tender route with my 2012 A7. The car turned itself off after a while since it wasn't running.

Fortunately, no. The update had finished on one controller and then got an access error on the next and was paused there. I turned the car back on and let it continue. I sat in the car for the rest of the update to make sure it wouldn't happen again. Next time, I'm just letting it run.

Looking at his website, price is 249.99 pounds. Using several currency converters online, that comes to $322. My dealer said $300 to update. So I am a bit confused, why go through this?

If your MMI is HN+_US_AU I'll sell you mine for $150. There is a sd card with map and license. The license looks like it's just a script to activate it. If you look hard enough on the Internet, there are links for maps etc. looks like dude just makes it easier for you to do.

Btw my dealer told me it was like 800+ to update maps...

I have a LOT of experience running my 2013 S6 on a battery tender while I am competing in car stereo shows that are indoors. We are not allowed to have vehicle emissions inside so we all run off electrical power.

There is timer in the car that will shut your car off unless you open and close the driver's door periodically. The timer is somewhere in the 10 to 15 minute range. I have not actually timed it.
As long as you open and close the driver's door within this timer range, you can keep the car running as long as you want.
If you leave the car for too long, it will shut down the ACC power.

If anyone wants mine, it arrived today in the mail after almost 1 month sitting in customs without a tracking update. I'm selling it for half what I paid which is $100 shipped. PM if interested.
    Edit;. SOLD.

Does anyone know if Lepa's AllRoad MMI will work with my update pack for my 2012 A7? The MMI versions look identical as do maps but I would think that platform would be different.
