Excelerate Performance announces bolt on IS38 turbo package for the MK7/8V Audi/Volkswagen platforms.









Using either OEM or APR hardware, Excelerate Performance has made bundles and packages to make shopping easy. As most know the IS38 turbo is quite the upgrade for the IS20 Turbo Driven platforms. Cars are capable of seeing upwards of 386 HP gains
on just 93 octane pump fuel. This turbo is factory on MK7 Golf R and 8V S3 platforms in the US and is a direct bolt on for the MK7 GTI and Audi A3. Along with these hardware packages there are some additional pieces to this puzzle that come highly recommended. They can be seen at the end of the core information.

EXTRA RECOMMENDATIONS

Spark plugs

Excelerate Performance highly recommend replacing the factory plugs per
APR's recommendation. Using a Denso IKH24 gapped to .024 seems to do
the trick very well. This gives you the security when running higher boost to
make sure you rule out chance of misfire conditions.

Clutch

The stock clutch in the MK7 leaves a lot left to be desired in even factory trim.
When you start to make more power slippage becomes more of a worry. With the power levels gained from this upgrade we
recommend replacing the clutch disc and pressure plate a minimum to avoid slippage.
We have a few bolt on solutions while retaining the DMF but we highly recommend the South Bend stage 3
endurance clutch upgrade for all non DSG vehicles.

For DSG vehicles, APR DSG software is HIGHLY recommended as a supporting modification
