    Wheel and tire weights

    Hopefully getting new wheels this week so I wanted to post up some exact wheel and tire weights for anyone interested.

    OE 20" 5-split spoke wheels alone.
    30 lbs 3 oz.

    Brand new Michelin PSS 255/35-20
    25 lbs 13 oz.
    (FWIW Tirerack spec says 25lbs & Michelin site says 25.5 lbs.)

    Realistically hoping the new wheels will be 25lbs or under.
    Will post their actual weight when they arrive.

    EDIT:
    Rohana RF2 20"x9" Et35
    24 lbs 1oz.

    Yeah, the OE wheels are basically boat anchors....

    My Avant Garde M590s weigh just about the same - ~29 lbs.

    Which wheels are you getting?

    Oh yeah forgot to put that...Rohana RF2 in Brushed Titanium. Was looking for something a bit stronger than straight cast so hoping the rotory forming is more durable and as a side effect lighter. I got a decent deal from my local guy who also has them on his MB so I'm giving them a shot.

    No, no weight info except from other sources and generally they are on wider widths. I know they will be lighter than stock, just not sure by how much.

    My RF1's (20x9) weight 25lbs. exactly.
    I had mine repainted as I discovered the Titanium was slightly too gray for my taste but I'm old school.
    My wheel guy has seen a ton of wheels and said he very rarely sees a Rohana come in damaged.
    He has been doing this for well over 20 years, he would know.

    That's a nice decrease from the OEM set that should be fairly noticeable from behind the wheel.

    Rohana RF2 20"x9" Et35
    24 lbs 1oz.
    So 6 lbs 2 oz. less per wheel. Not bad.

    Nice! Based on what "they" say about unsprung weight, That is supposed to be equivalent to shedding 240lbs from dead weight from the car. I don't know if I have ever fully bought that 10:1 ratio, but that is what it supposedly is
