    Mmi 3g not turn on

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hello everyone, after a reset in the MMI audi a7 with the combination of the three keys, already done in the past with success, would not light up. The keys are not illuminated and the monitor does not come out even if you press the appropriate button on the left. The current seems to come because I hear the sound of the hard disck and reset with the key combination makes me feel the classic sound of what you take away the current MMI. What can it be? If it were a fuse current should not get the MMI. It may be the amplifier or the same mmi?
    Thanks

Everything is controlled via the fibre optic cable. Make sure it's not disconnected anywhere....

It has failed the mmi? Consider that the current comes to blows because extracting it from the compartment and doing the reset feel the power that comes and goes with the HD noise

No communication is a classic fibre cable issue.

The fibre is connected in series to every MMI component, so if one component is off (fault or fuse) or the cable is disconnected anywhere in the chain, all components upstream of the fibre fails. Unfortunately the only way to trouble shoot it is to examine the cable, and check the fuses of the components.

The fibre is the really thin orange "wire" usually contained within some protective black tubing.

Have you had any of the MMI components out recently, or any work done that could disturb them?

No, just after reset (already done in the past several times) it is no longer turned on nothing.
In your opinion could be the mmi or the radio unit? Also it is known that the mmi restarts itself after x minutes, because I hear the classic sound.

Are you following this reset procedure?

    http://mr-fix.info/audi-mmi-force-restart-reboot-2g-3g/

Audi MMI force restart procedure – 3G+

    Locate button: big control knob
    upper-right soft button
    TONE button
Press and hold those button at the same time.
After two seconds release buttons. Audi MMI screen will go black for few seconds and system will reboot.
If your car does not have TONE button, use MENU button instead.

Do you have the hidden green menu enabled, and have you changed any settings?
