Cost of oil consumption fix in Canada

So... I have a 2009 Audi A4 2.0T and I'd like to know what is the Oil consumption repair cost?
How much is the average price to fix, how long does it take?
Stage 1 dealer fix didn't solve it, and now car is flagged TD1 so warranty repair is out of the question, so I'm wondering if anyone knows how much a shop will charge to fix the issue please
I know the walls are good, I get the oil tested every 3rd oil change and there's no metal in it.
    Thank you.

Damn. Friend of mine has about a litre every 2000km. He spent $5600 usd at USP a week or 2 ago. But that's all parts for complete rebuild.

What's the actual issue?? Rings?? Pcv?? If it's rings, I paid $2600 for labour getting my first engine fixed. That was replacing most of the internals of the motor though. So add price of parts on top.

Its just the rings, the engine works perfectly otherwise, simply literally spits oil out of the exhaust if I beat it, which since I've noticed it, been driving like a grandma keeping it under 3K rpm.
I'm hoping that won't get to be more than $2K to just replace the piston rings.

Fully built 2.088T fsi (this calculation cud be off), oversized mahale pistons, completely built head, rods, 1.8T oil pump and housing conversion, new crankshaft, all new gaskets, Arp hardware, you name it I've got it, paid about $4500usd (plus shipping) all in. Shipped to me from Arizona. So yes your 100% correct you can get an amazing deal out of the good old US of A.

From a USA wrecker u can likely find a low mileage for $2k ship it to cross boarder pick ups in Niagara Falls NY, if you can get seller to mark it as farm equipment you'll save a ton on duty. Pay them at there office in Mississauga and have local shop install. Done deal for much cheaper then any place in Ontario will do.

Pfaff quoted me $3300 for labour alone. And they wudnt let me bring them parts for build. So after all was said and done I was closer to $20k for the motor I own now.

I need to replace my pistons on my 2009 A4 CAEB engine, I'm wondering if you could tell me if these would work with the factory rods as they're performance pistons much cheaper then stock.

Those look like they'll fit. Usp has awesome tech support. I'd suggest calling. And if your going in there your likely going to need to replace some bearings and seals and things like that. Lowering compression wud be good. But a 82.5mm piston should be good as its oem size. Just need to confirm wrist pin size on oem connecting rods. 21 mm sounds right. Your walls may have damage if rings have actually broken. Which could be bad news. A good clean/hone job can do wonders. If not gouged too bad

My advice is to do it once and do it right.

Have you by any chance removed the head and inspected yourself?? It's no 10 minute job, but you can kinda see for yourself what's going on in there. Or there's a camera scope you can use if you know someone who owns one. Take out a spark plug it all of them take a look to see which cylinder is BDC and inspect yourself. Then manually turn the motor via the crank bolt and inspect the rest. Compression test might help too. At least you'll then know where significant problem lies.

Maybe slightly off-topic, but still perhaps relevant to OP's dilemma... are there other 2.0Ts that simply bolt into the 2009-2010 A4? I.e. can one get a 2008 or 2011 2.0T engine and replace a failing 09-10 engine? Are there known 2.0TFSI engine codes without issues?
Current: 2016 Audi A4 Allroad (in progress)
    Past: 2005 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro Avant / 6-speed / Ultrasport - SOLD

    That's exactly what I'm doing.
My buddy works at a dealership and got me a bottom end from a 2013 (post oil consumption issue) that he's getting bored 0.5 mm bigger and bolting it up to my top end.
I'm doing all major maintenance at same time.
All in I'll be around CDN$4500
    I'm ecstatic about it.
