Be easy here...I threw this together with what I had laying around in about an hour. Used my home built hot wire foam cutter for the negative shapes. I think the donut and the jack/tools are an easy 45#. Kit weighs less than 5# and is built on an aluminum plate. Came out pretty good.
Used the Slime kit plus their tire plug kit.

The S7 guys will have to leave the foam piece in as it supports what looks like the valve/distribution mechanism for the air supsension. I'd also advise keeping a tire plug kit and higher output compressor in the car. Trying to fill a tire with a sub-par compressor takes forever...

Would the spare tire still fit with the remolding you did on the sub box?

Most of the new Volvo's come like this and it saves weigh. But when you cut a sidewall on a pothole you are completely stuck and only a flatbed will work. And then totally dependent on a shop that has at the least the same size tire. It happened to me in the snow in a bad area of town with 2 toddlers, not a fun way to spend a Saturday. Especially to save 40lbs on a 4000+ pound luxury car.

Yes no problem there.. and I will say that without a doubt bass response and volume improved noticeably after removing that donut.

Happened to me too, tried a tire sealant which worked for maybe 20 miles and then started going flat again. Was glad at that point that i had the donut!
