Replaced Cam Follower Now No Start

    Hi guys newbee here.

Just purchased a 07 audi a4 quattro 96k miles on the clock. So I was doing some reading and it came across the whole cam follower issue. So I ordered a new one and change it. Now a prefix to this story before changing it the car ran fine except for a engine code 0299 turbo boost under pressure which I was working on. So I replace the cam follower easy job and luck I did, the old one was shot I drove around for a while yesterday with no issues. Took the car out and was driving around and stopped to talk to a friend of mine and left the car running. I stalled out and I turned it back on and it stalled out again and would not start back up. Check engine code 0089 and another one came up but cant remember what it was. So the question is what the heck did I do wrong or did some go wrong with the high pressure fuel pump.......

Double check that everything is plugged in and connected securely

    Any leaks near the pump/follower?

Also p0299 is most likely your DV, probably running the old version DV and has a hole in it. Replace it with the new version.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

Replacing the DV was the first thing I did. What I dont understand is the car was running fine (except for the 00299 code) and now noting. Will triple check all connections again.

Did you remove the fuse to prevent the HPFP from priming? And if so, did you remember to put it back in?

    UPDATE.

Gave the car sometime to cool off and tried it and it started right up with no issues. Will try again later and see what happens when I leave it run for a while.
