I'm at 25K (bought new, 2015 DSG) and already am experiencing a noticeable pause between disengagement and re-engagement of clutches while shifting, with a commensurate momentary loss of torque. Should I just expect this as the car gets older?

Doesn't sound right to me. I'd take it to dealer since you're still under warranty.
