What are the red/black wires for? The come from inside the light?
    Maybe auto leveling motor

The lights were retrofitted using the Retrofit source parts.

I'm getting new bulbs and ballast.

They were halogen lights to start with.

The guy had it plugged in to the healight socket.
When I plug in the ballast( tht came with) there is no room for those.
The come from somewhere in the headlight but behind the reflective portion

I had them cracked open but didn't see a motor

Possible bixenon function. Check if they are coming out projector. You can even put 12v to them and see if the projector flap opens.

Those are definitely the bi xenon flap. They should be plugged into the the hi beam. When I did my retrofit I soldered that into the back of the connector for the high beams.

Rite now the high beam will be the halogen bulb. If you wire it up to the high beam bulb it will activate the flapper instead. I wired it so I go t both the halogen and bi xenon to work. Mostly so that I could flash people with out the headlights being on and it's just more light. Let me see if I can find pictures tomorrow of how I did it.

There are many ways to wire them for bixenon.
-Easiest is to tap the high beam wires.
-Best/OEM way is to extend those wires to power module. This way you get push/pull high beams on the bixenon and your high beam bowl bulb works (can be) DRL. I set up mine that way with led bulbs in the high beam bowl so they are on all the time and high beams are only projectors. Flash to signal works just as fine by turning on the xenons and opening the flaps when you pull the stalk. Follow phil's Diy for the proper wiring and pins.

I guess I can tap the flapper motor wires into the high beam wire

    And still run high beam?

Yes. You can. Not OEM functionality but still functional. My post above describes the OEM way to do it.

Yah. That will work. High beam bulb lights up and the bixenon flap opens when you flash to pass or high beams. That's how I wired it on my other car, but with b7 I went OEM style because it's not difficult to run the wires. Just connect the the ground wire to the ground in the headlight, run the positive wired to the module inside the firewall. Done.

Little late to answer, but above guys are correct. Those are the trigger the high beam on the projectors, tap into the high beams and you will have some great High Beam power, essentially using the projector and the halogen for your high beams. It's a great setup.

All you need is a simple H7 splitter cable, no need to cut into any wires.
Should be very easy to find online, Retro Fit Source has one for $5 plus shipping
    https://www.theretrofitsource.com/co...l#.V8PwavkrK00
(should be second one from the drop down menu "H7 male/ H7-9006 female")

Retro Fit Lab has a video that should help getting a good visual for how the xenon wiring is connected @ 4:12 minutes into the video

fly has a DIY in here thats for a halogen to Bi-xenon retrofit. Part of that kit are 2 long wires (1 from each assembly) that are supposed to be routed under your driver wheel well and into your dash. You can then plug those into the connector and you will have High Beam to use on your Bi-xenons. It's easy to install if the wires are long enough.

Bought a set of retrofitted lights.. Question

Why would you buy anti flicker cap? I don't even know what it is? Just code your car to accept xenons.
I sent you a pm some days ago with links to DIYs. Not one says anything about anti flicker cap.

Sense I'm plugging and playing.. And using a high beam splitter,

No coding to be done, is Wht I am gathering
