What was that MMI upgrade unit?

Hey guys, someone posted a link to a unit thats made for our cars that replaces our oem mmi unit. Who makes it again?? I can't remember! It's supposed to be way better than our stock units. Thanks

Too bad the GPS is Europe only...dammit. Any north American options?

The loaded map is only Europe, not the GPS but thats only a map load, I'm pretty sure if enough people message Alpine they will see a market there for you. If not, who's software are they using for the map, it won't be alpine so it may well be available off the shelf.

Wonder if there is a reason for this being Europe only? Seems there are other aspects of the product that would be appreciated by a U.S. clientele which would only require some 'minor' software tweaks to be viable.

The only real differences I've noticed between Euro and US radios is the frequency spacing (9khz vs 10khz spacing) but with digital radio that's pretty much a thing of the past now.

ur right ... when I installed my U.S. spec Kenwood in my U.K. spec avatar, many stations lost due to frequency regulations as noted. Wonder if this Euro designed/specific system shows how much more advanced U.S. spec'd cars are in general in the first place?
