    Wisconsin Area stage 3?

Hey I'm calling out anyone in the Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Illinois area that is a legit stage 3? I currently have half the mods needed for stage 3, however after driving a couple so called stage 3s I wasn't impressed in the least bit. I'm an Audi tech at a dealer in Wisconsin, so there are times I get to drive some fast cars, TTRS, a couple R8s, and RS5, etc....just curious if my ko4 car will feel as impressive as any of these cars, if not I'll just cut my losses and part out before I stick another 3-4k into it?

... hard to compare a stage 3 ko4 b5 to a r8/rs5 or even ttrs, those suckers are fast.

Ask yourself this, what is your goal and are you happy with insta-torque and no up top, or do you need some juice at high rpms.

I went the k04 route just because I wanted all the power at lower rpms, just to rip around the city. I know these cars are never going to drive like a R8, but for powerband I was hoping along the lines of a ttrs. I just don't want to be immediately disappointed after spending nearly 10k on this build...

Supporting mods and tuning also go a long way. Are you planning on e85? We're the cars you drove on e85? A properly built/tuned k04 car is pretty spunky

Not gonna go the e85 route, but definitely meth. I bought the stage 3 kit from epl a couple years back, engine's been out ever since lol

Wow. Well I can say that a proper stage 3 car is satisfying for sure. If you did rods and e85 and different turbos than k04s, you will have plenty of power. Need faster? Get a lighter car

I drove an early v8 R8 and I thought it was slow as balls compared to my k04/93 oct car. If you are referring to the v10's I know those are a different animal. E85 really really makes it a whole another animal, but with meth you should be able to get 400whp. A plain jane 93oct k04 car with an over the shelf or base file is slow for sure, so if you are able to get an aggressive tune you might be very happy

what kind of budget do you have? all of those cars are alot of $$. a used ttrs is 40,000+ . if you put 40k into a b5 that would be one badass car. i think you should holdout for the rs3 coming next year.! but a WELL put together st3 b5 is a pretty fast car and costs a fraction of a r8.

I bought the car hoping to have a fun stage 1, three years later engine is still out awaiting every sweet bolt on I can afford, I'm just hoping it'll be worth the time and parts I put into it

Dude I'm in the same boat as you are. I started out with a stock S4 to a Stage 1 to stage 3 and now it has bloomed into a full built block, heads ,big turbos. I am still second-guessing myself thinking maybe i should have gotten a TT RS or RS4. But my frankenturbo Turbo stage 3 still put a smile on my face everytime I drive it. So I can only imagine what 500 wheel horsepower car would feel like. But keep in mind the B5 is getting on in age 16 years as I'm sure you know there's been a lot of advancements in the audi world. But I still believe the B5 S4 is a pretty solid bang for the buck

I went from a 500 hp RX7 to my stage 3 S4. it's power doesn't feel the same but it's way more driveable and comfortable. Currently running the RSKO4 setup and all supporting mods in Milwaukee...the car moves man..
