Coil packs, anyone switch to the R8 packs?

Coming from the Volkswagen world the R8 packs were one of the 1st things I did to maintain healthy spark and prevent miss fires.

How often does anyone experience pack failure or miss fire?

The new coil packs on the MQB platform are more robust and there is no need to upgrade. This is what I've been told by many tuning shops GIAC etc. In the VW world...yes you would have to. Exception is the Golf R, they might have the same as us.
