    Transmission Hesitates to engage

    Hi,

When I am at a complete stop anywhere (at a light or just from parked), when I accelerate, it takes a second or two for the transmission to engage or catch. It's a small delay as if it hasn't realized that you hit the gas before the gear catches and allows the car to start moving. It's almost like a slight slip before it catches. It def doesn't feel like a throttle delay. It feels like the transmission because you feel it engage roughly. The car has 66k miles.

One thing to note: if I am at a stop such as a red light, after I let go of the brakes, if I give it a quick second before hitting the gas pedal, it's enough time for the transmission to catch up and I won't get the issue described above. I don't know if this is normal with these vehicles. I got it 8 months ago used and it's done it since I got it.

    Vehicle Info:
    2010 Audi A4
    Transmission - FWD
    Miles 66k
