Controls arms are due - Any tips on how to handle lines to stock struts without ruptu

It seems that my control arms are now over due for replacements and I need to place an order in the next few days as I will have time the next weekend.

I have done these in my B5s before and other cars, but never on the RS. How do you handle stock lines that are going in to the stock struts? Can I still pull the strut out? Or simply move it enough to be able to remove the bolts to upper control arms?

Ideas/tips? Or simply point me to an existing thread/diy please. Highly appreciated.

    Thank you

Edit: It looks like it is possible to "flop" it out of the way enough..

Switched to Tesla and have never been happier. No more shady mechanic bills and excuses - oil top off before an oil change is normal or dealing with outdated forums that have image size limitations. And no more dealing with vendors that do not provide horsepower numbers but sell you random things by labeling them as performance parts. No more dealing with the Audi dealership and having to buy custom Audi specific tools. Wow. I can't believe I lived through all of this. Money pit.

You can change the control-arms without discharging the DRC shocks.

Here are images I made for you from the KW Installation manual for the HAS Spring kit, where they install new springs this way, that you also have access to the control arms. Here is a direct link to the document.

Sweet. Highly appreciate all the info. That definitely helps a lot. I changed wheel bearings in the front along with the hub and lines had me worried a bit at that time. Thanks!!
