I don't have ecodes...... I don't see the big deal on spending $$$ on something that can be upgraded if you run 5k build versus the 4250k the SQ5/Q5 has now. Thoughts?

It's not the color temp of the bulbs, the projector itself has a more crisp cutoff and better optics.

Most people easily spend 1000-1800 on an exhaust that gives you 5-15 hp improvement, why wouldn't someone spend 1k on something that gives you better visibility for night driving?

Very true that the ecodes have better optics and may have a slightly better cutoff, but I have felt that the bulb temp plays a important role in getting a brighter and possible farther distance in vision than replacing the entire light unit. I've owned 25+ cars over my life and I always try to get LED headlamps, but when that's not available I will stick with HID's and switch the bulbs to a 5k or 5,500k color which always seems to give me a crisp whither light that seems to throw it out a little further. Maybe it's me, but that always seems to work for me. Please keep in mind that if your in the market for ecodes, agautohaus is your guy especially with level of options he offers.
As far as people spending money on exhaust, I'm one that just pulled the trigger on a MF unit and trust me when I tell you HP was not the reason why I bought it. Exhaust note, nicer tips are the reasons why I only went with a exhaust.

I don't think anyone buys an exhaust for horsepower gains lol. Ecodes are sweet but quite pricey for Amber delete. Yes they have a different light cutoff for night driving but is that really worth 1k?

The same way some people on here wouldn't eat at a 20+ restaurant for lunch, some people 50+, some people 100+, okay everyone gets the point hahaha


to each his own! I'll say one thing I sell a crap ton of Q5 ecodes lol, so there are definitely plenty of people who do find them worth the money

Mine were delivered yesterday - excellent packaging (very thorough) lol. The headlights were safe and sound when I opened them up.

Thanks Arjun! I think it looks much cleaner and less busy without the orange markers. It certainly is not cheap and I agree with Riceboy that this is not a cost effective upgrade but it does make a difference! I'm looking forward to seeing how much brighter these guys are at night time too.
