Trailer hitch install Canadian deal for US $$$

I had my local Audi dealer install the Audi hitch & wiring. I decided to go with Audi stuff for the 100% integration with the control module and ECU.

Anyhoo, the purpose of this post is to let any US Q5 owners know that I paid $1350 CDN at the dealer for everything in. That works out to around $1050 USD.

I assume that includes the hitch? It's a pretty easy install. I did mine last weekend. If I was rushing and didn't have to hunt for all of my tools, it was probably a two and a half hour job.

    Haven't done the coding yet.

Didn't finish my thought there. If I was not hunting in my messy garage it would've been a two hour job. But it probably took me 2.5 hours.

Yes, that includes hitch, wiring, control module, install and taxes (15%). They charged 2 hours for labor, so not bad in my book.

I could have ordered the kit from ECS, but after shipping, duty/taxes I'd only be saving the labor at best, so not worth the trouble.

I probably would have paid that, pretty good deal. Got the hitch on eBay, brand new for $600 shipped.
