To achieve the sound and fitment we wanted. Also there wasn't a benefit in performance going to 2.5" dual through the split mufflers after the 2.5" front section.

Ordered mine last week through auto anything and said would be delivered beginning of October, but got an email now stating won't be delivered til end of October. Seems like a long time to be back ordered on a new product.

Unfortunately this is a common problem for new products, especially from Borla for some reason. We sell a lot of Borla, and we really like their product, however there service side could use some help.

Our system for the B8/B8.5 Avant/Allroad 2.0 Turbo does not drone. It uses a single 2.5" tube and then splits to dual 2.25", that is actually opening up not necking down.

Volume comparison

2.5" x 1 = 4.90sq"
2.25" x 2 = 7.94sq"

just got it installed. Louder then I thought. Was hard to tell with the YouTube clips. Love the gurgle. Will it tone down after a week or so or will it get louder? Or will it stay about the same?

it looks like the tips are welded on, and cant be slid forward/back.... anybody confirm?

im also looking for pics to compare the stick-out of these tips versus the BillyBoat welded tips. The BBs tend to stick out a bit far, but i love the rest of that system. might be nice if the Borla stuck out less?

Yeah.. all borla's are usually non adjustable... Which stinks.. your stuck with the preset measurement.. it might stick out more when hot as well... Only way around that is a muffler shop.. but who wants to cut up a new exaust?..

Yes just looked under and they are welded on. Stick out on outside but not as much on the inner part of bumper due to curve.

Crappy cell phone videos. will try and get some with my go pro when I get home tonight, hopefully sound better. But it is not too loud in the cabin. when you get on it you hear it but normal driving not that noticeable. Street driving is more noticeable. Freeway not as noticeable. Under load it is also louder but in park and revving sounds really good and rumbles. Once I drive it more and let it settle in I will update. can already hear a difference after it warms up.

Definitely is a noticeable difference compared to stock. I'll be interested when you've had it on for a bit longer if it still as loud or if it settles a bit.
