    OEM Front/Rear Shock replacement suggestions?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Greetings. I would appreciate some help suggesting some good stock shocks for my stock 2001 Audi Avant front and rear please. Would you suggest my car receive OEM Audi replacements over aftermarket? And if so, can those be purchased from anywhere but Audi? Or, would you suggest some Bilstiens or other brand? I'm on a budget. Even though I would love to have coil overs it's too much for me.
Last year I purchased BlauParts affordable stock shocks and put them on and the rear has skipped over pot holes, manhole covers and other non smooth surfaces since- plus they are squishy and sloppy and not good in my opinion.

    Thank you in advance.
    I love my s4 avant 2001.

You are looking at $123/piece for Bilstein off Rock Auto. I have them in my A4 Avant and love them. Maybe add some lowering springs to that if you want da lowz

I had blaus and they lasted 4 years, for 360 plus lifetime warranty it was worth it. If you have the cash, look up your vin and get the exact ones you should have, those will leave you happy for a while.

I was looking into koni fsd's, monroes, kyb's, bilsteins. All of them may be good options but I doubt any of the options available were designed specifically for the b5 platform. If you want the best dampening i'd say stick with the strut that was designed for our cars weight and etc, which would be OEM.

Not saying the other options are shit but to each their own.

Yes, Rock Auto does have Bilstein B6's for $123 each, which seems like people like them quite a lot. I'd love it lowered a little, but I like to go off roading sometimes. Peace to you all.

$1500's too rich for my blood at the moment to have such a wicked setup.
