    Hi Everyone,

I searched around and couldn't find anything relatively new right off.

I'm up in New England and we have both 91 and 93.

Is there a benefit to me continuing to run 93 or am I wasting money? I've acclimated myself to the idea that the higher the octane, the cleaner your engine will run/remain over time.

Background: I've been filling up on 93 octane since 2005.

    2001 Integra GSR (93)
    2010 Civic SI (93)
    2013 WRX (93)
    2016 S3 (93 currently)

The cost difference between 91 & 93 is negligible. I'm just curious, what people choose to do?

I'm in Mass and only Sunoco has 91. I choose 93 every time.

In California, 91 octane (RON+MON/2) is all we have. (With the exception of few stations that carry racing fuels). My S3 runs fine on it.

I think I read on APR's site that the ECU does map out for 93 and we get around a 20hp/tq bump. I always get Shell Nitro 93 so i wouldnt know if that's the case in real life experience

Thanks guys. Guess I'll continue with 93 unless I run into an instance where only 91 is available.
