Tail light ground? Front right blinker comes on with brake pedal applied.

    Hi everyone,

I'm currently having an issue where the front right blinker is coming on whenever the brake pedal is applied. I checked all the fuses and they looked ok, checked bulbs, cleaned the ground location under the coolant reservoir but still having the issue. I also noticed with the lights on that the brake lights don't seem to get much brighter when the pedal is applied which makes me think it's a ground? Does anyone know where the ground for the tail lights is? I've searched but can't seem to find any posts with the same issue. Help please!

    Thanks.

when you checked the bulbs did you make sure that the brake light bulbs were both dual filament?

Just providing an update to this thread in case it will help someone else out, I double checked the brake light bulb (yes it was dual filament) but it had a little metal bur on the inside that must have been causing a short or something. It still lit up and seemed like it was working fine but I replaced it with a new one and no more blinker! Thanks.
