Where is this damn thing? It is coming today and I can't seem to find a guide on where it is. The bentley shows it in the front down on the right by the timing cover. Troof? Ill try to post some pics to make this thread useful when I find it.

EDIT TO MAKE THREAD SOMEWHAT USEFUL:

    Part number is 07K907601A

Derp. Right out in the open. Once I had the part in my hands...just pop the connector off. Use a t30 mini driver for the tight spot and pull it out. Reverse and voila no more p0340 for 2 minutes of my time.

My engine is filthy. On the to do list.

Yes front right by timing belt cover. It blends in nicely but it's there. I don't remember if you have to take off TB cover to get to it.

It cud be hidden behind the coolant hose iirc. I removed that hose and connected a different piece I can see mine clear without that coolant hose in the way.

Try this link to all Audi sensors for all Audi models. Someone else on this forum posted previously and I bookmarked it. Very handy

Same symptoms, same code, new sensor.... no go. Any Ideas? I had a chance to check for the 5v supply and it is good. Ran out of light to check anything else. I also know the connector where the low fuel pressure sensor and cam sensor connect to the engine harness is connected properly. Just had everything apart for the K04R upgrade. Car runs amazing as long as it isn't idling.

Does it also run poorly when you left off the throttle when cruising?

Strange it would give you the positioning sensor though. I believe there are two so may be the other one.

No leaks. Smoked system. Runs perfect while cruising without throttle

Lol, well you gotta start from the beginning. You've basically changed a lot so diagnosis is more difficult. I would be looking at adaptations and readiness checks first.

Haha. From stock to that in 20 hrs minus machine shop time in front of my house on blocks. I guess you're right. I'll check it all again from the beginning...

Alright... Fixed. Chain was a tooth off even with the use of the camshaft locking tool....

Thanks Okedokey... Really wasnt looking forward to tearing it all down again, but good advice.
