OBDeleven OBD2 Port Dongle VCDS Alternative

Hey, just wondering if any of you have experience with the new OBDeleven. Its revered to be a 95% capable alternative to VCDS pro. I was interested in the unit mainly to possibly resync my keys remote to the car. The non VCDS method (putting key in door after x amount of time blah blah) doesn't seem to work for me for either of my cars, and don't really want to make a trip to the dealer. The unit seems to be able to allow for custom coding and adaptation channel modifications. One thing to note though, one touch coding/adaptions will require credit purchase, so don't go on buying it right away.

If you can't get VCDS to do the adaptation I really doubt that interface will do it. VCDS uses dealer level commands/ adaptations to make changes, beyond that you're getting something wrong or have a hardware problem.

I've read about that thing, other than being a little bit cheaper I have no idea why anyone would use it over Ross Tech's interface. Extra cost along the way, REQUIRED data connection, doesn't work on 'some' devices so there's no guarantee it'll work.
If people would just pony up the $ for a good interface in the beginning then they'd realize it's worth the cost.

Perfect example of "You get what you pay for" .

Are you using the correct method to re-synch the the remote locking RF transmitter in the key fob? The ignition key must be inserted into the ignition switch and the switch turned ON to the RUN position, optionally press a button on the remote fob, then turn the ignition OFF, then remove the key and exit the car. Test the remote locking function, Done. Inserting the key into the door lock will not work, as you found out.

^ Truth. I borrow my buddy's when I need it. It works on both of his laptops and both of mine...
