Is this supposed to be the RS5?

What is the deal with this? The rear valence, tips and fender flares make me think its the RS5 hidden in the s5 body. After a brief search, it appears that this may be the test car for the b9rs5. Anyone with insight? I cant imagine audi would release a car with flares like that (unfinished) but its nice to see what they may be planning for widthwise.

It's probably an RS5 mule. The brakes are different from what's on the B9 S5.

Those look like TT flares (no offense to the TT drivers).

If it is, it is time for everyone who wants an RS5 to pick up one of the last gen models, checkbook in hand.

Has everyone seen the S5 sportback on the AZ homepage? It seems the rumor is they will bring it stateside, and if the RS5 sportback is given the greenlight, that would come as well. I'm intrigued but not full impressed by the RS5 mule in the OP, but if they brought the RS5 sportback? That would be epic.

Audi execs have hinted that North America may not get a RS4 sedan but "something else" instead. That "something else" is assumed to be the RS5 Sportback.

Gosh I hope that becomes true. If not then panamera 4s here I come.

I imagine there will be a significant price, and size, differential between the 4S and a RS5 Sportback.

Of course. I would much rather have the cheaper alternative (rs5 sportback). But if the option doesn't become available, then I'm only left with panamera 4s.

    Why not a RS7? I'm sure that'll be cheaper than a 4S

Not really. They're actually rather really close in price to each other. I like the Porsche interior more than the rs7. Performance wise, in sure the rs7 would blow the 4s outta the wAter but with the new 4s sharing the same engine as the upcoming rs5, in sure aftermarket parts could get them pretty close.
