    Service Dash Message

Recently I had the message pop up with the brake pad monitor light, and I have the pads, just need to get back to my dad's farm to do the work, but yesterday leaving work I had a new message stating mostly to the effect

    "Service Vehicle
    72 days or 900 miles"

This morning, 71 days or 900 miles... Is this just a normal scheduled maintenance reminder?

The car is an '07 with shy of 90k miles on it, I have had it for a little over 3 years beginning at 48k miles and have never gotten a message beside this, the brake monitor, or the occasional oil level.

    Thanks for looking

Yes, it's nothing to worry about. There's a way to reset it, I forget how exactly.

If you have a VCDS you can easily reset the service reminder message - take note of any low oil messages though, they can be catastrophic quite quickly. If you don't have a VCDS, then you can reset it by http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...terval-Display

Thank you, I figured that was probably the case. It used to drink oil by about 4qts between changes but I had it in for misfiring at 75k miles and replaced the coils/plugs and had them fix the oil leak out of one of the piston heads at the same time, doesnt go through oil as quick anymore but I still keep a jug in the trunk just in case

Still will probably get it in at some point since I am considering trading up in the next couple months. Thanks
