Wasting no time! // Akrapovic X HRE X NeidFaktor X TAG Motorsports

Here at TAG we like to get "ahead of the game" so to speak. Once again, we are following that trend with this all new 2017 R8 which belongs to a great client of ours. Starting off with an already incredible Ara Blue V10 Plus, we had our work cut out for us. In order to really make this car something even more amazing than it is in it's pure form, we had to utilize products from the best in the industry.

Enter our great friends and neighbors over at HRE. We knew that we were going to need a wheel that compliments the ARA Blue just right. What better than the 20" P104 in their well known Satin Bronze? This wheel gave the car just the right amount of pop without being overly wild. In order to complete the stealthy look that we were after on this car, we painted the calipers in house in Ara Blue to match and added the logos back to the set. We offer this service with your calipers on, or off of the car!











Next on the list was to awaken the silence from this motor. With to quality, performance, and sound in mind the solution was clear. Our friends over at Akrapovic� have come up with just the right accessory to help bring Audi's latest supercar to the heavens of the roaring V10 Hall of Fame: The Akrapovic Slip-On Titanium Exhaust System. Constructed from ultra-lightweight high-grade titanium alloy, the exhaust system boosts the R8's power-to-weight ratio, all the while adding even more horsepower and torque by reducing back-pressure by almost half of the stock levels. With its dual-mode exhaust valve system, the titanium exhaust system allows for varying levels of exhaust note ferocity. It is finished with two exquisitely hand-crafted carbon-fibre and titanium tailpipes that fit perfectly into the R8's stock diffusor. It is tuned to enhance the sporty note from the V10 engine while still ensuring maximum comfort and enjoyment in the car’s cockpit. The tone moves from a pleasant growl at low revs to the unique Akrapovic race-like sound as the revs rise and the excitement grows. The sound can be further adjusted with the addition of the optional Akrapovic Sound Kit.







To complete the aesthetics of both the interior, as well as the exterior we added some of our own special touches. After all, it is all in the details. Working with Neidfaktor to create a wheel for this car that compliments not only the carbon, but the blue accents in the cockpit was a blast. Great group of guys, and they truly produce an absolutely amazing product. We chose perforated leather, matte carbon, and Blue stitching. Furthermore, we chose to add their Carbon Paddle extensions to this one. These are fully customize-able, and have a wide variety of options.





Last but not least, we topped this car off with our in house OEM TAG Motorsports Blackout Cosmetic package. This consists of all of the chrome emblems on the exterior of the cart. Just the little accents really tie this entire beast of a project together. Let us know what you all think!!
