What's your wishlist for the next gen RS7 ?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello,

Just indulging in imaginary. If you could- what would you like to be implemented in the next gen of RS7 ? more power? better handling? better turbos? better transmission? 5 seating option? more wheel options? 20 inch wheels instead of 21?

Better AWD power distribution? Aggressive exhaust?

I'm talking about from factory. What would you change if you could?

    TIA

Right of the bat, ventilated/massaging sport seats with honeycomb pattern, similar to what is found in the A/S8. Ridiculous that we have to choose between comfort or sport. I want looks, lateral support, my back massaged and my balls shriveled all at the same time.

More power is fine too. Top view camera would be nice seeing that it is available in other models and was promised to me when I placed my original order.

Lets see... power side and rear sun shades, porsche handling, virtual cockpit, R8 style steering wheel, carbon fiber tub/ or ASF to reduce mass.

Less body roll, slightly shorter overall length, and a redesigned rear end to look less hunch-back like. Audi should take a hint from Porsche on this, and follow their lead based on what they did with the Panamera

As for the wheels, RS7 already offers 20'' forged aluminum wheels as standard.

Have no complaint for the powertrain, it's just amazing even in stock form.

However, this car needs a BETTER chassis. Drove my RS7 and my friend's cls550 back and forth last weekend on a twisty mountain highway, and I was BLOWN AWAY by both of its comfort and handling.
The RS7 has too much body roll and the car just doesn't want to turn, whereas the Mercedes feels so natural through a corner and there is virtually no body movement, it's FLAT compare to the RS7...
Keep in mind my RS7 has the DRC option while his car is only the cls550 trim, I can only imagine the cls63 amg to be even better...Not sure if Audi can ever fix this due to the nature of FWD platform.

Better material quality would be preferred, as the current gen uses too much plastic in the interior.

Oh yea, and a top view camera with better quality would be nice, the current camera is pretty much useless at night -.-

I would like enough power to beat GTR Nissan - in a straight line on lights lol that's it

and Oh! massage seats in the sport seat design and heated sports steering and a foldaway centre console for rear for another passenger seating. Period!

That's not too much to ask lol

    My list:

    - Less body roll, more chassis refinement.
    - Those amazing electric turbos better be on this.
    - Why do you only have 2 color options for the interior??? You really can't give us 3, of 4 colors to choose from?? The S models have more colors.
    - Audi do you know how to combine a heated steering wheel with a flat-bottom?
    - Ability for the exhaust flaps to stay open even when the car is moved out of 'S'... Why can't we hear the sound like it's supposed to when stationary?
    - Forged or Flow-forged wheels are mandatory, yes even in 21".
    - stitching on the door-panels and a single option to add a leather covered dash
    - FLARED FENDERS!!!! This is an "RS" rigggghtttt.... Every other RS model has flares, especially that RS6
    - Hire someone that is tasked with listening to the stereo system and knows what BASS is before you sell the car... BOSE, and definitely for the B&O.
    - Hire another person that will ensure the A7 line has 'TOP VIEW' camera capability!!! Can't tell me your engineers cant figure out where to put the mirror cameras in an A7 body...
    - a few years ago you were working on e-Quattro with an electric motor integration.... What happened???
    - Make the C8 hit 60 mph in 2.5 seconds or less so that it's quicker than the P100D out of the box....
    - Less weight

    ---- DO IT!-----

I actually love this car but nothing wrong with being hopeful...

    - less weight, at least 300 lbs
    - less body roll, a panamera would assume rape us at the track
    - of course more power, the engine can come out of the factory at least 650bhp without pushing it. Almost like a detuned Apr stage 1.
    - I really prefer the 20s. Much more comfortable ride and plenty of tire options.
    - flared fenders. An RS car has to be loud!

I will wait to see the next gen car to decide my next move, although chances are to move into the R8 v6 turbo or back to a 911 turbo.

For the people complaining about body roll.... Have you driven RS7s with the dynamic suspension, or an RS7 performance where it is standard?

Oh yeah, Matte black option instead of just one Nardo grey

Also, more Bass like others said.

I don't even demand something fancy -just basic options.

Noupe, but I don't understand why Audi just could not program the air suspension setup stiffer and but bigger sways for the S7 and RS7? Panamera has only air suspension and its very stiff on sport + ( Panamera is even heavier than S7, RS7 but there is 0 body roll)

My only complain is that Audi could start making normal (deeper BMW style) seats and make the new generation cars with less body roll.

I feel like there is no body roll when my RS7 Performance with DRC suspension is in Dynamic mode. When in Comfort mode then yes, there is more body roll. Granted, I have not personally driven a lot of comparison cars (Porsches, etc. ). But I think the DRC must have made a big improvement over previous versions.

I think the B&O and Sport exhaust should be standard in this car, not a costly upgrade. I also would like the top view camera as others have said.

This is what I was getting at. The DRC suspension makes a huge difference. If you want it standard buy a performance. If you want it as an option on a regular RS7 the only sacrifice is you can't have the 21" wheels.

Air suspension allows a greater variety of settings as well as easy height adjustment. If Porsche can make amazing handling large cars and SUVs with air suspension, why can't Audi do this in the RS7?
