Sold and S4, and bought an S4

Over the weekend, I sold my '14 S4 and bought a '15 S4.

Sold: '14, Moonlight Blue, Black Nappa, carbon fiber, Nav, side assist, sports diff, alu optic package, b&o, 43k miles

Bought: '15, Mythos Black Metallic, Black Nappa, carbon fiber, Nav, side assist, sports diff, Black Optics package, b&o, 17k miles

I really wanted Black with Black Optics (looks sick!!), and this was a pretty reasonable way to do it. Guy I bought from suggested I get a performance chip to change things up a bit. I have no background or knowledge of what to get, how to do it, etc. I'm sure that are several threads on this, but don't know where to start. Any suggestions appreciated.

Search for stage 2 tunes, not a chip. If you care about handling at all you might want to also look at springs/coilovers, sway bars, etc.

So you sold your 14' for a 15' for basically a new color & black optics package? Why not just get the black optics bits for your 14' and wrap the car if you really just wanted to change up the color. I can't imagine that worked in your favor money wise.

Why does everyone forget the Unitronic tunes? You tune from home and it's cheaper then the rest unless there's a sale.

Sorry... - I just think it's ridiculous to sell a relatively lightly used car for the identical same model car (in this case also used) - at night you would not even notice the difference in color. Not only are they the identical looking vehicle but they are optioned identically... the Moonlight Blue is a much more unique color than black (IMO of course).

Don't mean to burst your bubble but I've never understood this thinking - lol I guess typical American first world problems.

this forum feeds off performance proof.. dyno.. 1/4 mile.. street racing .. nobody takes into account basically all the tunes are within 10-20 whp between each other and factors such as cooling, ambient temp, humidity, amount of weight added to the car takes into account the daily performance.. so if a Uni owner had the fastest 1/4 mile time.. another Uni owner was beating down fast cars street racing or a Uni owner was putting down big dyno numbers then everyone would then jump on that tune.. its forum marketing i guess

i'm not really into blue, but moonlight is a sweet color. kinda has a grayish undertone from pictures i've seen. would have loved to seen a moonlight black optic car! especially with the gray/machined wheels and carbon fiber. to me, moonlight + carbon fiber = sex. not to rain on yoir parade ;)

That's what I was thinking. Maybe not TD1 though.
OP, you need to call AoA and give them the vin number. Tell them you want to know the service history (wont be much at 17k miles) and the warranty status.
Either way, ask the seller if it was ever tuned. If it was you can get it reflashed and save a bunch of money.
