    S4 vs. Canadian Goose

Okay, long story short, a goose commit suicide in front of my car. Good times. Car seemed to be driving okay after initial impact, but when I pulled over to review the damage, I noticed I was dumping coolant. Good times continued. Got towed and started ordering replacement for my grille and missing fog light grille. Insurance is actually being pretty cool about it since they consider it a no fault accident...

    [IMG][/IMG]

The shop finally got my bumper pulled (a week later) and informed me "that the lower main grille support broke upon impact and punched a whole in the primary supercharger cooler." The good times just don't stop.

Aside from the broken and missing pieces, I'm already having the shop install a rear diff mount that I've had for months but haven't gotten around to, and I also ordered a street shield skid plate. But now that that I've found out why I was dumping coolant, I'm wondering if I should just upgrade the cooling system while I'm at it...

Wondering if it's worth it? And if so, the APR Coolant Performance System vs. AWE Tuning Coldfront System?

    Thanks!

I would upgrade it, especially if you ever plan on tuning.

I have a stock heat exchanger that i just got pulled off, if you are looking for one. Just hanging out in my shed, I'd let it go pretty damn cheap.

If you can afford it and you want to plan for the future, now's the opportune time to upgrade to the AMS one. Stock parts fail and if possible, replace with upgraded aftermarket ones. Spend the money once, you know...

I hope you cooked that goose and ate him in front of his bird friends so they know not to mess with you next time. Haha

There is group buy going on for the Revo Charge Cooler if you were looking for another option.

I would upgrade the heat exchanger since you have to buy a new core anyways. Plm still has the group buy going if you email and mention AZ, they'll do $800 shipped.

Each day, I troll the same block in the rental F150 I got, looking for his friends. And at night, I rest my head on a pillow filled with his feathers.

But thanks for the reply, that's exactly where my head is at. Now more of a debate of heat exchanger vs. whole system. and which manufacturer is best?

If you have Drive Select you will need to relocate/replace the oil cooler on the front of the radiator. (You should be able to visually see it to check)

This is outlined in Step 37+ of AWE's install guide: http://www.awe-tuning.com/media/pdf/..._reservoir.pdf
