    RS5 chassis brace on S4?

Does anybody know if the RS5 chassis brace ( the one that Alu Kruez replaces ) will fit on an S4?

Im in the camp of people that believe the Alu/034 brace will prevent the engine from sinking in the event of a collision. Was wondering if this was a viable option

The alu kreuz fits on the RS5 with the exception of the 3 back fasteners for the under tray. So it is likely the opposite is true.

I don't see why it wouldn't fit. I'm still puzzled where this engine drop theory comes from, though. Just look at where the brace is actually located. It's not below the engine. The engine is in front of it. I think the theory has started because the flimsy S4 brace looks like it's designed to fold up, however, that's not the case with the sturdier RS5 brace. The fold up theory goes completely out the window if you look at a side-by-side comparison of the S4 brace, the RS5 brace and the AK.

I know this is a crazy old bump but I was wondering if you figured this out. I am concerned about the engine drop issue as well. Also, many swear by the Alu Kreuz but many also say that once they already had coilovers, cr-15, and sways, adding the AK did pretty much nothing which leads me to believe it's overstated. Also that the A4 benefits much more than the s4 as it's stock brace is even less robust.

Figure i could find an rs5 brace at a wrecker if i was patient enough.

Ayyyy almost 2 years later and here I am, this is kind of crazy.

    1. Fuck it. Just don't crash. Also it isn't under the engine so relax you will be fine.

    2. I went from bone stock to AK and it made a huge difference. Can't comment on coils or anything, but I can confirm the AK by itself is an extremely noticeable difference.

    3. Good luck finding one at the wreckers. They sold like a couple hundred RS5s a year in Canada. You are going to waste a bunch of time calling junk yards and fucking around with a part that may not even fit. You'll probably end up driving to some far away wrecker burning a bunch of gas just to get it. All to "save" a couple hundred bucks. Buy the AK and call it a day.

Fair enough lol. I have just read a lot about the AK from both sides. Some say it's night and day, others say that it's mostly a placebo effect if you have the sways... It's pretty damn expensive for what it is so i'm just hesitant. I Could get sways AND the cr15 for the price lol

I'll probably end up doing it eventually...

Do you have the CR15? have heard great things about it

No CR15 here. I can definitely see those items being pretty redundant though.

The CR15 is not redundant, it reinforces the top of the chassis structure, and the AK reinforces the bottom of the chassis structure.
