My heater core is not connected to anything

My heat stopped working so I looked at my heater core and it doesn't appear to be hooked up correctly. Here's a picture of it.

Below there is a test line with two hoses connecting but why? Do I connect those two hoses back to my heater core to make my heat work?

There's only one reason someone would disconnect it. Your dash is coming apart if you want to fix it, because I bet that heater core leaks.

I hooked it back up and It's to soon to tell whether it leaks not or yet however there is heater core stop leak additive that I'm going to buy first in case it does leak. I hooked it back up and took my car for short spin and my heater wasn't really getting to warm which is also one other reason it may have been disconnected. Truth is I really don't know. How can I tell if it leaks?

NOOOOOO. Putting that crap in your cooling system will be detrimental, and can do things like plug up the radiator and small cooling passages such as for the oil cooler and turbos.

Likely you'll start to smell coolant inside the car.

Your post is the exact definition of a trolling. You sound like you've read the book.
