    GoPro setup and positioning

    Hi folks,

What does your GoPro setup look like? More importantly, what are good camera positions (inside and/or outside the car) to get a good view that helps me see and work on my line on the track? What are good positions that produce good looking footage? And are those two compatible?

Also, what's your setup for capture good sound?

From GoPro footage, how easy is it to overlay data captured by something like Harry's laptimer? Can it take any video and overlay data (with some manual synchronization, I suppose?), or does the video have to be capture by the app on the phone?

    Thanks!

Get some ram mounts from amazon. though they can still be a little shaky.

Read the forums and the documentation on Harry's website. It does do overlays and works with gopro. I've never used my gopro with harry's myself. I have a couple of iphones I use for the purpose instead.

Do a search on this forum for microphones. A bloke on here posted about what he used...

I used a ram mount this past weekend on rear passenger door very low near the wheel and i was doing 120+ at times and it seemed just fine.

just depends on how long your arm is from the mount to the camera. the one I use through my front windscreen is a bit shaky.
