    Manifold for Precision 6262

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Ok. I'm just looking for some help on this one since I've googled my brains out. I just purchased a Precision 6262 turbo for my car. I have a manifold currently but it is meant for a turbo that has an internal waste gate. Does anyone know where I can find a different manifold that I can mount this turbo on? I'll post pics a little later of the turbo for reference. Thanks.

I do not believe there is a ots manifold that will accommodate that turbo on the 2.0T b7 platform. You gonna have to go custom build on that.

Have someone add a wastegate flange to it. That's your most cost effective route.

Try calling Pag Parts Turbo. They may have something that would work.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I'm trying to grab some pics to provide you guys but I'm out of the country right now and am trying to scrounge up some pics of the manifold and turbo.
For reference the manifold is the APR style mani.

Oof, that baby is cast inconel. You may want to consider a new manifold or getting an IWG housing for your turbo.

Hmmmmm It like it has your old finger prints on it If it is, man that manifold gets around. ......... Custom imo will be the only way to go.

Thanks for the advice. Not really what I would prefer to hear but it is what I needed to hear. I'll keep looking and see what the options are. I'll see if Precision has an IWG housing or if it even possible. Still waiting on a response from them for another question I asked them.

It's a really good manifold, but your options are limited due to needing an IWG and only having a T25 flange.

yes damn the T25 flange and associated manifolds. custom is imo 100% the only way to go. if I could I would. and if I can I will. top mount preferred too. looks like much easier for exhaust and clocking turbo. but im strictly basing my opinions on garrett setups. nothing oem fitment about it. other then locaction.

Thanks again. I'll have to call around or send some emails to see who does fab work in my area. I haven't looked into it before but I'm sure it exists especially in the Bay Area. Hopefully it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. Guess I'll be putting this up for sale when I get home.

wgen u can send me pics of the turbo. My T25 might be able to fit it with the modified mount. If the fronts a bit longer it wud be better fit on the ATP manifold too. Though the mani isn't divided like the apr on.

Odd that they made a divided outlet twin scroll manifold in t25. Thats honestly pretty retarded...

I'm pretty sure the turbo has a t04 flange. Here's some pics. I don't have it in my possession yet so I can't post better pics. It'll be at least and a half until I can put hands on and take pics. I'm already talking to precision about about rebuilding the turbo. I'll have to send it in when I get back to get an estimate. The rebuild kit only cost about $45 but I think it may need a little more TLC than that.

It's not a true divided manifold. The gases are allowed to mix just prior to entering the turbo. Still way better than a log manifold though.

It doesn't look that bad. The compressor wheel has a few nicks, but so will 90% of all used turbos. IIRC, Precision turbos are oil cooled only?

I'm 99% sure correct that it is an oil cooled turbo. It looks like the nipple is missing or the attachment for the oil line but that should be easy to get.

The compressor wheel is my biggest concern, I know it needs new bearings and it doesn't seem hard to tackle that but I'm more afraid of throwing something out of balance (which I don't know if that's actually a thing) by changing the compressor wheel too.

Oil cooled only. Your gonna have to let it idle for a little after its en to allow cool down.

Yea, I'll look into a turbo timer down the road. Should be relatively inexpensive.

Yeah balancing is a thing, you will need to take care of that I think.
