Installed Front and Rear Dash cams

Dash cams are both Black Box B40-C bought on amazon for 74$
I was sick of having to put batteries in my GoPro and turn it on and off and press record every time i got in the car.

Front cam is wired from the rear usb charger through the center console, under the dash, inside the a pillar and tucked under the headrest.

note: the other usb cable is used to charged my phone (plugged into the hdmi to lightning converter (so i can watch movies and/or charge phone with just 1 cable.

    heres the front cam:

There rear cam is wired from the trunk power outlet under the little left side compartment, and under the rear deck, the wire comes out from under the rear speaker cover (no cutting required), and through the rear pillar, then tucked the wire in under the headrest.

I have the rear sunshade which kind of hides the cam

Would love to hear about how the load is on battery and quality of video footage. Something I've been putting off for too long.

Won't be a load on the battery unless those plugs are on all the time. And if they are the battery will drain quick.

OP why not hardwire everything to the fusebox and clean it all up and hide everything.

i initially went the hard wire route. but the fuse tap i got did not fit. i never use the rear seat so i don't mind. also don't mind the plug in the trunk.

going this route ensures 0 battery drain. cam turns on with ignition, and off when the ignition is turned off.

I tapped into the fuse box for my install, you don't have to worry about battery drain as long as you install a voltage cutoff kit like this one (https://www.blackboxmycar.com/collec...c-pro-blackvue). It cuts off the dashcam when it hits about 12v so it won't kill the battery. There's also the external battery pack route you can do (https://www.blackboxmycar.com/collec...ant=7784351681) the battery charges while you drive and runs the dashcam when you park and never uses your car battery. I have my setup wired for both ways. But whatever route you take having a dashcam alone is worth the investment. I'll have to take pics and post them to show my setup.
