    Audi Connect Options

I know this has been touched on in the past, but my additional 6gb has now expired and I was wondering what the best option is to go from here. I've heard there are ways to potentially get free data if you're an att customer which I am. I've called and they stated the best option is to pay $20 a month for 4gb.

Is this the best option that you decided to go with? Or is there another route to go that is more affective? Any help would be appreciated.

You have a 2013, no? What works for people with the C7.5 and 4g?

Here in the UK we can pair the MMI to our cellphones, and use the cellphone data allowance for Audi Connect services.

Is that not an option in the USA?

Also, our MMI takes a regular SIM card, we are not tied to any specific operator. Can you swap your provider to a data only SIM card?

Hmm I don't know. I haven't tried this route yet but when I spoke to att they made it seem like that wouldn't work. Perhaps they would know that it is being used differently than for a phone or iPad. Not sure.

I believe the iPhone is one of the few phones that allows the provider to differentiate between normal data use, and "hotspot" data use, allowing them to charge a premium.

Im on Android, and don't have that issue.
