Most I have done in my SQ5 (UK spec 3.0 BiTdi) is 620 miles but I did still have 100 miles showing in the range but I filled up anyway.

Funny thing: It clicked/stopped (for the 3rd time) at exactly the numbers you see there, so the OCD in me was happy with that!

I'm also surprised that it took more than the listed tank capacity (19.6 gallons) - that's a first for me.

Yeah, I know, stoopid reflections, but I was too lazy to try re-positioning for a better view, AND I didn't want to have to (further) explain to my wife why I was taking pictures of the dash and pump anyway! ;-)

I stand corrected - official volume is 19.8 gallons, not 19.6. Still less than the 20.008 gallons I put in yesterday.

33.3 mpg average, 90% highway running, 80% of that at 79-85 mph...

Distance to empty showed as 10 miles.

We'd never even seen/heard the "low fuel" warning in this car previously. That warning sounded with 70 miles to empty, which is exactly twice the 35 miles to empty warning I've seen on all of our other (gas) Audis. Wondered whether that's due to the relative scarcity of diesel stations (relative to "gas" stations), or what...?

...which is all the more impressive given that your SQ5 is as quick or quicker than the US gas version of the SQ5.

Yeah, I wasn't worried about that. Even at zero miles to empty, there's typically at least a gallon of fuel left in the tank, in my experience....
