Adding "Audi Rings" option to 2016 S3

Hi everyone. My mom just bought a 2017 A4 and it has the Audi Beam Rings option where it shines the Audi rings on the ground when the door is open. I see that the light bulbs are available for the A4 but don't see anything for the S3. Has anyone added these to their S3? Any help would be much appreciated!

I have added them to my 2016 S3 - I got them from deutscheautoparts but you can search the P/N and find other places also.

I also ordered mine from deutscheautoparts for my 2015 A3. The Oem audi ones from deutscheautoparts was actually my 3rd set I tried and the best ones as they should be.
The first set I got was a cheap set for aliexpress that showed the rings and the "audi" logo, but it had a purple-ish tint to it. So I then ordered the windfire set from amazon https://www.amazon.com/Wind-Fire-M00.../dp/B00IX5MRD2. I liked this set originally because it uses logo chips that you can replace if you want something other than the rings projected on the ground I liked using the arcade pacman ghost logo with this set. But the downside with this set is that the light beam projector is strong and gets so hot that over a few months the logo faded out on both door sides (which probably explains why audi's oem version has a heatsink on it that your can see from the photos posted above). Windfire offers a free lifetime replacement on new logo chips but I decided to go with the OEM ones and so far I'm the happiest with these ones. The logo is really crisp & bright and looks a lot more premium than the other versions I bought.

Did you have the lights under your doors already? I just looked and I don't have the lights there from the factory. I'd assume because I don't have the prestige package.

Yes I have the Prestige package on my A3 so it has the puddle lights on all 4 doors.
I don't know how you would go about installing them if you don't have them though. I remember reading about a guy on the forums
trying to retrofit them on his A3 but it seemed like more work than it was worth.

If your car doesn't have the LED package either with the convenience package on the 15's or the LED headlights on the 16's then the door does not have these lights. On my 2016 S3 I don't have the LED headlights and the door panel is sealed where this opening would normally be.

Pop it off and look for the wires.

If the 17 is the same as 15/16 and I suspect it is. You are going to need the puddle lights, connector, and pins to build the wiring harness. You have to cut door panel to fit the light. Once the light and wiring are installed you will have to code the door modules for puddle lights. I haven't checked for the foot wells but I expect you will have to wire them as well.

As far as I know you can't get them anymore. They're on nationwide back order due to Audi pulling them off the market. That is of course if you want the OEM ones. I'm sure yo can get some crap lights on eBay.

The ringed version. I had them ordered back in august and I was informed that Audi pulled them off the market. Not sure why.

A quick search on eBay will return a number of sellers. Anywhere from 130ish to 200 including shipping.

saw those, but $130+ish doesn't seem worth it for a different pattern. I am seeing the "Quattro" pattern go for around $90ish. that means I can get a set for the front and rear doors for less than $200ish

I bought S3 projector door courtesy lights on eBay. 12.95$ for 2. First set, awesome. Angle and clarity of projected image (S3 logo) are spot on. Bought a second set from same seller for rear doors. Clarity is great buy angles are off. But at $13 a pair i am ok trying a few to get it right.

Only 3 months having them installed, so can't comment on long term results.

Here's an image of Ebay sourced S3 logo. It's projecting on a gravel road so doesn't look all that great, much better on smooth surfaces.

UWbadger91 is correct. These OEM lights are presently not available from Audi.

Purchased an OEM set from an Audi dealer in the UK via eBay. Perfect fit finish and the Audi logo is crisp and sharp. Note: these light have the little heat sync build in to the housing.

I know the ebay photos aren't the best quality but the S3 ones seem to blur on the edges. Maybe it's just the pictures....
