16" Wheel fitment with B7 Brakes

I've had B7 front brakes for a couple years now with my stock 17" wheels. I've got the opportunity to pick up a set of B5 16" wheels with snow tires. Will they fit?

Yes they fit, may have to run spacers, I have b7 brakes on my wife's b6 and sold the 15" snows and bought 16" b5 wheels and snow tires and it fits but hits the caliper so I need 5mm spacers

Thanks for the details. I was concerned about the radial clearance - sounds like that shouldn't be an issue. Offset may be an issue, but it's not so bad that it can't be fixed with a simple spacer.

2+ years later I finally got around to test fitting the 16" B5 5-spoke wheels w/ Blizzaks on my B6 with B7 front calipers. Indeed there is no issue radially, but they do foul from an offset standpoint. The rears, of course, fit without issue - I actually ran them last winter as a mis-matched set with the stock 17's on the front.

I suspect I could run them with 10mm spacers and longer bolts. I'm not sure I want to bother. I've found the Continental DWS06 to be a reasonably good tire in the snow. First time I've ever experienced that with an all-season tire.
