Hello. Been member for several years over on the b5 S4 side. Back to the forum since we are looking at a 2007 Q7 4.2. Hoping to get some good insight before we sell our X5.

It seems that this gen of 4.2 doesn't have the issues the b6 S4 was known for. The car we're looking at has 104k on the clock. If we buy it I plan on doing plugs, VC gaskets, new accessory belt, and clean the sunroof drain tubes. Anything else I should look for or beware of before we get too far into the buying process? No major incidents or repairs on the car fax.

It's not a Q7, but pretty close... here's a few links to some projects I've done with my Touareg with the same engine as the Q7. If you go the Q7 route, they may give some ideas of lil tweeks here N there you can do...
